在刚过去的2017交易年度里，北京碳配额成交价753万吨，成交额2.36亿元。其中，线上公开发表交易成交量247万吨，成交额1.23亿元，成交价均价49.95元/吨；线下协议出让成交量505万吨，成交额1.13亿元。

中国成应付气候变化引领者。中国大力实施应付气候变化自律贡献，允诺2020年构建单位GDP碳排放强度减少40-45%，非化石能源占到一次能源消费的比重提升到15%，森林面积和林木蓄积量分别比2005年减少4000万公顷和13亿立方米。在国际气候谈判中，中国大力敦促正确理解实施《巴黎协议》，将较为矛盾的立场转化成为牵而行，寻找解决方案，有效地推展了谈判进程。
